This is without including the serious issues faced by PS3 owners after they had spent a considerable amount of time with the game. It has been re-released several times on various platforms, and Bethesda celebrated Skyrim’s 10-year anniversary by releasing a special Skyrim Anniversary Edition on November 11, 2021. Some of these random incidents still happen regardless of the version gamers are playing, as a newcomer recently encountered a funny glitch involving a horse.

A user named UFI420 states that they are new to the world of Skyrim. They see a horse minding its own business on a bridge, only to witness it hilariously fly away. The way the beautiful Skyrim soundtrack swells to mark the horse flying away adds to the hilarity of the video. UFI420 asks users if such incidents are normal, and anyone who has played Skyrim has probably seen a similar occurrence at least once.
Many fans confirm UFI420’s suspicion, and they mention that this incident does not come close to the bugs experienced by others. One user sarcastically states that the bugs add to Skyrim’s charm, and the comments are filled with players sharing stories of game-breaking glitches. A fan named Jackraiden5000 mentions that their favorite bug features duplicate NPCs and describes the bizarre feeling of encountering 30 versions of the same NPC performing the same task.
UFI420’s experience of seeing the horse fly away appears to be pretty common, and it’ll probably not go away no matter how many times Bethesda re-releases Skyrim. In fact, another user shared a similar clip showing several Skyrim characters flying through the air. All of them appear to be the same character model, and this glitch seems to have taken place during a massive battle judging by the sound effects at the beginning of the video.
Another funny Skyrim video shows the main character flying away on horseback and fighting dragons in the air. The player in question had just loaded into the game, and the horse immediately glitched out before taking flight a few seconds later. Dragons appeared, and Skyrim’s combat music started playing, but the user had no chance against them and fell not long after. While this kind of flying may not be a proper feature within Skyrim, it certainly seems to happen often.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
