Written by Yuki Tabata, the Black Clover manga is still ongoing; however, currently, the animation has been halted at the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc. Amongst its somewhat vast arcs, there are some noteworthy ones to look out for.
7 Spade Kingdom Raid Arc
Manga Chapters: 261-331. Anime Episodes: 168-170.
Asta and Yuno’s world is in danger from the Tree of Qliphoth, which the Dark Triad of the Spade Kingdom plans to create. The magic knights of Clover Kingdom have been training with the mages of the Heart Kingdom for some time prior to the beginning of this arc in order to prepare for battle against the Dark Triad.
The Triad has captured Yami Sukehiro and William Vangeance in hopes of using them to get access to the Tree and therefore unleash devils onto the world. The Clover Kingdom’s attack force and their allies want to avoid this; they plan to raid the Spade Kingdom.
6 Magic Knights Entrance Arc
Manga Chapters: 1-10, 13. Anime Episodes: 1-13.
Fans are introduced to Asta and Yuno, two young kids with big dreams of becoming the Wizard King, in the first arc of the Black Clover series. This arc does double duty as an effective show opener while also making an effort to spotlight the show’s central premise. Clover Kingdom’s Hage Village is where both Asta and Yuno live. Both of them received their grimoires and reported to the Royal Capital to take the Magic Knights Entrance Exam.
Participants in the exam must demonstrate their magical abilities to the satisfaction of the Magic Knight captains, who will watch and show interest in those they find most promising. Yuno, given a unique four-leaf grimoire, passes all of the tests and joins the Golden Dawn, while Asta, who was given a grimoire in the form of a five-leafed clover, fails most of them but is nevertheless recruited by Yami, captain of the Black Bulls. Both characters have been assigned to the Magic Knights guilds and will no doubt keep working toward the ultimate aim of becoming Wizard King.
5 Seabed Temple Arc
Manga Chapters: 57-74. Anime Episodes: 40-51.
This arc features what most viewers would describe as “0-100” occurrences. Julius Novachrono, the Wizard King, calls for the Black Bulls and tasks them with locating a magic stone in the Seabed Temple. They had yet to learn that the Eye of the Midnight Sun has its sights set on the stone.
Vetto of the Eye of the Midnight Sun is featured prominently throughout this epic arc. The Black Bulls strive to thwart him on his quest to reclaim the magical stone. Yami Sukehiro, captain of the Black Bulls, also lends a hand in the fight against Vetto, and he uses his catchphrase, “surpass your limit,” to do just that.
4 Eye of the Midnight Sun Encounter Arc
Manga Chapters: 36-56. Anime Episodes: 28-39.
Black Clover fans highly regard the Eye of the Midnight Sun Encounter Arc since it introduced the series’ first truly formidable antagonists. Asta, tired from his duties as a Magic Knight, heads back to Nean for a vacation, where he plans to spend time with his friend Rebecca. Later, he and his Black Bulls teammate Gauche learn that evil mages have abducted some children from the village and confront Baro and Sally, the kidnappers.

After they are defeated, Licht, leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, shows up and finishes off the remaining two Black Bulls. Luckily, they are saved when Yami comes in to save them alongside Finral; an intense battle between Licht and Yami follows.
3 Witches’ Forest Arc
Manga Chapters: 75-101. Anime Episodes: 51-65.
At the end of the battle with Vetto in the Seabed Temple Arc, Asta’s arms, which he is famous for using to swing his massive sword, become cursed. As a result of Vetto’s Ancient Curse Magic, Asta’s arms have been crushed to the point where he can no longer use them; not even Owen, the best healer in the Clover Kingdom, can restore their functionality.
As the Black Bulls look for ways to aid their teammate, Vanessa is reminded of her mother, the Queen of Witches. She believes Asta’s arms can be healed with her help; therefore, the Black Bulls head to the Witches’ Forest. The Queen of Witches, the Eye of the Midnight Sun, and the Diamond Kingdom are just some of the adversaries they will have to fight and overcome on this journey.
2 Royal Knights Arc
Manga Chapters: 102-149. Anime Episodes: 66-99.
The Royal Knights Arc introduces itself to viewers after the events of the Witches’ Forest Arc have concluded, and it focuses on the selection of the magical knights who will comprise the Royal Knights. A festival honoring Yuno and Asta for their bravery in the face of numerous attacks had just concluded before this. Fans were thrilled by the Royal Knights tournament since it provided a chance to see multiple guilds go head-to-head and settle any strength debates that may have existed between them.
In this arc, viewers meet Zora Ideale, a new Black Bulls member who specializes in Trap Magic. Additionally, this arc also features an encounter between Finral and his younger brother Langris. An unforgettable moment from this arc involves Asta, Magna, and Luck preparing to attack Langris, who is going to go too far in his fight with Finral.
1 Elf Reincarnation Arc
Manga Chapters: 150-228. Anime Episodes: 96-157.
As the Royal Knights Arc comes to a close, the newly formed Royal Knights launch an assault against the Eye of the Midnight Sun. Unfortunately, the Black Bulls’ base is attacked in order to steal the magic stones they possess, and Licht, captain of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, fights Julius, the Magic King, in order to reclaim the stones he has in his possession.
Souls of the elf tribe are reborn into the bodies of several magic knights during the raid by the Magic Knights. Allies fight each other in a thrilling arc that ultimately decides the fate of the Clover Kingdom.
