Bleeding Edge is Ninja Theory’s team-based, multiplayer arena game based on bizarre and unique heroes. Heroes are divided into three classes standard for this sort of game: damage, support, or a tank role. Teams of four compete in either a domination type game mode to capture points or a game mode that asks players to find and deliver power capsules.

On Twitter, the Bleeding Edge team announced its newest hero to join the battle, Azrael. Azrael is an egotistical, bumbling hero who was granted wings by different specialists and engineers. The winged character is a new Support addition to the game, offering several abilities to heal allies and point out enemies. Azrael’s supers include the Wing Blast that pushes away enemies and slows them briefly as well as the Chrysalis super that locks Azreal into a protective chrysalis and heals the hero over time. The chrysalis can also be applied to nearby allies.

Bleeding Edge released back in March and released was added to Xbox Game Pass on launch. After Ninja Theory was purchased by Microsoft, the studio has been able to expand its development teams and has more games in development including continuing work on Bleeding Edge.

Fans are hoping to see more from Ninja Theory this week as Microsoft is gearing up to showcase games for the Xbox Series X. The studio has two titles in development, the highly anticipated sequel Seuna’s Saga: Hellblade 2 and the mysterious game Project Mara that was teased earlier this year.

Bleeding Edge is now available on PC and Xbox One.
