Twin Valley Middle High School in Whitingham, Vermont is the subject of the ACLU’s complaint, which was filed on behalf of the unnamed student, who was the only Black student in the school’s 10th grade. The complaint claimed that the school did nothing to protect the student against several alleged instances of racist bullying from 2020 to 2021. The incidents cited in the complaint included a student allegedly calling the student a slur in front of their teacher in December 2020 and a group of students allegedly directing the Nazi salute toward her while yelling the same slur in February 2021....

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), although Black women and White women get breast cancer at about the same rate, the breast cancer mortality rate is 40% higher for Black women.
