During the first few minutes of this episode, there is a playback sequence of all the events that have happened so far from episode one to episode three in the series. From Ebern’s failed attempt to steal Ichigo’s Bankai to Sternritter J’s complete dominance over Hueco Mundo, the audience is reminded of not only the major plot points but also the unsolved mysteries in the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War series so far....

At this point, it’s unclear what project Elliott is working on, as the game is currently unannounced. Ultimately, Birds of Prey’s biggest problem is that it can’t decide what it wants to be. Throughout its 109-minute runtime, it’s torn between being two different movies. It’s set up as an ensemble team-up movie but styled as a Deadpool-esque fourth-wall-breaking Harley Quinn solo movie. The ensemble element is at odds with Harley omnisciently controlling the movie like the Merc with a Mouth. Warner Bros. basically admitted they couldn’t decide what this movie was supposed to be when they changed the title to Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey in the middle of its release....

Now, the program is coming clean under new head coach Tyren Jackson. He explained that the program is a “post-grad football academy” in an interview with Jamie Ostroff of NBC4. It is not a school. “We do not offer curriculum,” Jackson said. “We are not a school. That’s not what Bishop Sycamore is, and I think that’s what the biggest misconception about us was, and that was our fault. Because that was a mistake on paperwork....
