We already know another Mass Effect is underway at BioWare Montreal, but whether this is a proper numbered sequel or one of the aforementioned spinoffs, isn’t clear. However, in an interview in the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine, developers Casey Hudson, Mac Walters, Dusty Everman, Mike Gable and Preston Watamaniuk discuss the future of the franchise, which just might be linked with the BioWare Montreal project. Leading the pack in spinoff candidates is everyone’s favorite Turian Garrus Vakarian, who also appears to be a favorite of Hudson’s....

The Mass Effect series may well be on the backburner at the moment, but BioWare hasn’t completely forgotten about its space-faring sci-fi franchise. In a recent Game Informer cover story for Anthem, the developer confirmed that it would return to the series eventually - although no specific timeframe for that return was given.
